Giving back is always the best gift, and every gift matters in the fight against cancer. That’s why What If team member, Rachel jumped at the opportunity to fundraise and participate in a charity tournament sponsored by Zog Sports which benefited the Children's Joy Fund at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
Every day, MSK’s Department of Pediatrics treats nearly 150 patients, which is more children with cancer than any other hospital in the world. Undergoing cancer treatment can be an uncertain, scary time for families, as normal “kid” activities take a backseat to getting better.
At MSK, it’s important that pediatric patients have the opportunity to be kids. The Children’s Joy Fund ensures just that. The funds raised at the event Rachel participated in will provide the toys, supplies, and recreational programming to let these kids play like kids.
Remember, every donation – big or small – helps pediatric patients and their families as they fight childhood cancer. Through the ongoing generosity of the many friends of Pediatrics, there is always music, art, books, games, computers, crafts, electronics, toys, dolls, and donuts to make the children happier while at MSK.
