Two mass shootings over the weekend has once again left the What If family heartbroken and with the urge to help. Although it is impossible to understand why these tragic events occur, it is our duty to figure out how we can best help those communities recover from these horrific tragedies. 31 people were left dead, dozens more injured, and countless people grappling with what to do now.
The first shooting occurred Saturday morning at a busy Walmart in El Paso, Texas, where 22 people were killed and 26 were left injured. The second shooting happened just 13 hours later in Dayton, Ohio. There, 9 people, including the gunman, were killed. Both communities are in need and this how you can help:
We have chosen two of the established victims funds to donate to on behalf of our company:
The El Paso Victims Relief Fund was established to accept monetary donations to support victims and their families affected by the tragedy on Saturday, August 3, 2019. Click here to learn more and to donate.
The Dayton Foundation is accepting funds to help people impacted by this tragedy.
If you are interested in supporting, you can use your VISA, MasterCard, or American Express credit card to contribute to the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund. Click here to learn more and to donate.
Hundreds of people gathered to donate blood at various donation centers operated by Vitalant in and outside of El Paso.
Vitalant is currently at capacity for walk-in donations; however, those who want to donate can make an appointment at bloodhero.com or by calling 1-877-258-4825.
We appreciate any help you can provide to help our country heal in this moment of profound tragedy and sadness.
